What is Ebates anyway? 
Ebates is the most reputable, well-known, and highest-paying online shopping cash back system. Basically, they pay you for shopping online.
We’re talking about shopping online at the stores you already shop at. There are over 2,000 stores to choose from. Some of my favorites are Target, Amazon, Home Depot, Macy’s, and Toys R Us.
How does Ebates work?
Anytime you are shopping online, you go to the Ebates website first.
On the Ebates website you can search for any store that you want to shop at (Target, Amazon, etc.). The store will come up in the search. The cash back percentage will be listed right there next to the store’s name, along with some helpful coupons. Just click the shop now button next to that store and it will take you to the store’s regular website.
This is what it looks like if you look up Amazon on the Ebates website.
For example, if you want to shop on Amazon, just look Amazon up on Ebates first. Click the shop now button next to Amazon and that will take you to the same old Amazon you’ve always shopped out.
Now, just shop and check out as you normally would. Easy enough.
After you complete your purchase, Ebates will send you an email confirming that you’ve earned cash back.
And this cash back will keep adding up. At the end of the Ebates quarter (basically a season) they will send you your Big Fat Check!

How did I find out about Ebates?
Yes, this is a true story.
A good friend of mine told me that she got a Big Fat Check in the mail for using Ebates when she was doing her online shopping online.
To me, this sounded too good to be true. I’m a skeptic. I don’t like signing up for new things. I didn’t want to spend 2 minutes of my day signing up for it. Excuse after excuse after excuse.

You can now use Ebates in stores too! You can link Ebates offers to your credit or debit cards on the Ebates website. And you can even do this from the Ebates app when you’re actually in the store.
All you have to do is pay with your linked card and the cash back will automatically be added to your account. Pretty cool.
